NHS Treatments

Patients come to our practice for all sorts of dental issues and concerns. The Nightingale Clinic offers a variety of dental services to make your teeth as healthy as they can be.

A Targeted Suite of Treatments Designed to Repair Many Oral Health Issues

The Nightingale Clinic offers every patient the best possible care. Whether you are an NHS or private patient, it is our duty to give you the best smile possible. At our practice, every patient receives dental care customised to their needs. When you come to us for treatment, we outline all your options and ensure you feel confident in the treatment you select.

Our dental practice is trusted by many patients throughout the UK and we offer many treatments to resolve concerns about their oral health. In addition to private care services, we’re pleased to provide patients with NHS treatments, so they can obtain the care they need from a team that loves what they do.

At our dental practice, you can be referred for:

Oral Surgery

Our first-class dental team accepts NHS oral surgery referrals from other dental practices to correct a health issue affecting your teeth, gums, jaw or surrounding oral structures.

Orthodontics

Children under 18 may be eligible for orthodontic treatment coverage under the NHS.

Sedation

Patients with dental phobias or anxiety may require sedation, which will make them more relaxed and less anxious during dental treatment. We can help with that.

Dental Referrals You Can Trust

Other dental professionals appreciate the high quality treatments and standard of care we provide at The Nightingale Clinic. We receive many patient referrals from several area dentists. When your patients need a specialised treatment or have a complex dental issue that requires an expert, we are happy to accommodate them.

Preparing for a Dental Treatment

Once we notice an area of concern, we’ll outline your treatment options to address the oral health issue. You are a key part of the decision-making process and ultimately, your care is in your hands. We’ll never push you to go through a particular treatment, but we will explain why we make certain recommendations and how they will improve your oral health.

We’ll always walk you through what to expect from each treatment, keeping you fully-informed and answering any questions you have beforehand. If there are any important instructions you need to follow, we will be very clear about what you need to do before treatment and provide you with comprehensive aftercare instructions to ensure a stress-free recovery.

Opt for Private Dental Treatments, if Preferred

NHS dental treatments are set up to provide oral healthcare to maintain healthy teeth and gums, however there are some limitations to these services. These services are deemed clinically-necessary by your dental practitioner, and may not cover the specific dental treatments that interest you, for instance Invisalign, teeth whitening or dental implants.

If you are interested in private patient treatment options, please let us know. We can provide you with a treatment plan that outlines the anticipated cost to switch to a private treatment.

Targeted Treatments and a Focus on Preventative Dental Care

Our preference is to do what we can to prevent oral health issues from happening in the first place. We recommend dental check-ups every six months, so we can stay on top of any potential areas of concern.

Even the most stringent brushing and flossing schedules may not be enough to keep your teeth their healthiest — genetics and other factors influence your oral health too. The moment we notice something starting up, we will point it out to you and recommend one of our targeted treatments sooner than later. If issues are left too long, they tend to get worse, which makes treatment more involved, and less comfortable for our patients.
